On July 19, 2016 I had the honor of being a kidney donor. In 2011 my cousin, a young 27 year old mother of an adorable girl, needed a kidney transplant and I was not able to donate. I went through the process of starting to live a healthy lifestyle and finally was able to donate my kidney to a stranger in 2016. Now, I am running to spread awareness of the opportunity to save a life through kidney donation after seeing the effects it has first hand! Please donate generously so that many, many more lives can be saved!
